Mission:

Piedmont Language School is committed to preparing and inspiring children for continued study, work and citizenship in our global community. We support, advocate and create opportunities for world language learning and cultural exposure.

Piedmont Language School is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization founded more than 40 years ago by Piedmont parents. We offer classes in Spanish and Mandarin to children TK thru 6th grade. We have had approximately 250 students per year learning languages and discovering cultures through our programs.

Our classes are offered before and after school, generally on-site at Piedmont Unified School District classrooms or Piedmont Community Church.

In addition to our language programs, we champion language and culture in the community, and we support the school district by raising funds to advocate best practices and innovative thinking in the classroom. This is similar to the model employed by the art & music support organizations in our community. We have provided research for PMS; textbooks and materials to PHS; and continue to offer funding for programs to supplement the curriculum with funding a field trip or special programs to promote all different cultures.
